Dubai Zoo

Dubai Zoo is one of Dubai's most popular family attractions. Located in the lush green suburb of Jumeirah, historically the Zoo became a landmark as it indicated the "town's end". The Zoo is the oldest of its kind in the entire Arabian Peninsula, housing many indigenous Arabian species including the Arabian Wolf, Gordon's Wildcat and the world's only captive breeding colony of Socotra Cormorants.

Children and adults alike will be delighted by the collection of regional birds of prey. Large cats and species of primates are also on show, along with many Arabian mammals. The native Arabian species housed in the zoo include gazelle, caracal, wolves, hyena, wild cat, flamingo, eagles, buzzards, vultures, snakes, skunks and lizards. A visit to the zoo is also an opportunity to see rare and endangered species such as barbary sheep, water buck, Siberian and Bengal tigers, Arabian wolves, scimitar-horned oryx.
